If you have played Super Smash Brothers for Nintendo 64, and liked it, you will surely love Super Smash Brothers Melee for the Nintendo Gamecube. More characters, more stages, better graphics, better game.

Gameplay: The gameplay in Super Smash Brothers Melee is very unique. The game starts out fully capable of being a fun game. you don't start out with all the characters or stages yet, but of course that gives you some things to unlock and have fun with. Each character has different attacks, some characters, like Bowser for instance, are slow and powerful, while others, like Fox, are agile and hard to hit. There is a character to meet any type of personal preference. The stages are the same. Some, like Hyrule Temple, are very large and a lot of moving around goes on. The larger stages are more about strategy, and there isn't always action, and characters flying all over the screen, but it is fun all the same. There are also smaller stages, like Pokemon Stadium, which are filled with action, and he who hits the hardest, usually comes out on top. Super Smash Brothers Melee has a one player mode, of course, which consists of, Regular Match, Event Match, Stadium and Training. All of these
are great, I still play them all. The Vs. Mode (multiplayer) in this game is great. You, and three other people, (humans or computers) can battle it out, with all different characters, all different stages, in all different ways. There isn't much of a story to this game but other aspects of Super Smash Bros Melee more than make up for it's lack of a storyline.

Graphics: Wow. The graphics in Super Smash Bros Melee are wonderful. It really doesn't get much better than this. The characters each look outstanding, huge improvements from games that they have formally been in (if any.) The worlds (stages) in this game will blow you away. There is no real way to describe the graphics except simply fantastic.

Sound: The sound in this game is great. When one character packs a punch on another one it sounds great. The sound of a dead character coming flying onto the front of your screen, amazing. By pressing the right control stick button, characters have thier own, special signature taunting moves, sometimes containing voice-overs, like Captian Falcons, "Show me your moves." I give the sound in this game a huge thumbs-up.

Bottom Line: Great game. Wonderful, amazing, fun. I cannot stress to you how much I encourage you to buy this game. Do not miss out on this. Fun for one player, or four. Great graphics, great sound, great game. No regrets, except that it isn't very challenging.
