Could of been good, but turned out not to be.

Gamespot was a little too harsh with the 5.7 but this game isnt that great and not worth $40. I'm glad I rented it though for $5. This game has three different modes and of course this is a 4 player game. There is the Story Mode, Party Mode, and Challenge Mode. Story mode seems good at first but gets boring and frustrating quickly. When you go to another area it always has to load and take a long time. It is hard moving the Monkey Ball around, why couldnt they make him out of the ball while walking around? You get to choose Aiai, Gongon, Baby, or Meemee. You start off on Jungle Island and you have to make the three worlds, Jungle Island, Moonhaven, and Zootopia happy so they will come to a big wedding between some important people. To make them happy you help out some of the monkeys with their promblems. Things like collecting things for them, fixing something, helping out their family/friends when they are in trouble, donating alot of bannans to some fat charity guy, and even letting some guy take your picture but you have to make it to the picture spot before time runs out. When their joy is 100% that world is happy and there are 3 of them. Your monkey is in his monkey ball the whole time, which gets annoying because he is harder to control than a regular character and rolls off into the water or off a cliff alot. The good part is that you dont have lives and dont have to worry about having a game over or starting over. You still do those challenge levels that were in the first two Monkey Balls but only to open locked doors. But they are called the puzzle realm, at least you dont run out of lives in those levels. But Story Mode gets boring and too annoying. Even though this is the third Super Monkey Ball it only has 6 party games. They are all unlocked but to get the other characters (20 in all!) and the other parts of the games like the other levels for Race and Target or the other mode for Cannon. Monkey Race, Fight, and Target are still in this. Race is the same with new items and it seems a little easier. Fight is exactly the same with one new item. Target is the same but youre not over a sea anymore but it is harder and not that fun anymore. The three new ones are Bounce, Cannon, and Tag. Bounce has 4 modes (three locked ones) and in this game you bounce around and have to turn squares into your color and get the most color squares and there are items. There are two cannon modes but I didnt unlock the other one. Cannons Top Gun mode is where you shoot yourself out of a cannon at other peoples castles until yours falls down, whoever knocked the most blocks off of castles wins. This game is fun and there are alot of different castles. The other one is where you build the castle and use items and then knock them down. In Tag you collect ballons for points and use items to hit other people for points too. Challenge Mode is the same old get to the goal within the time limit. The levels are harder now and arent as fun. Overall Super Monkey Ball Adventure is worth trying to see if you like the Story Mode or play the few fun party games like Cannon. It is worth a rent but I would never pay 40 bucks for it, maybe 15-20. If the Story Mode was good then this game would of been much better.
