Super Metroid User Review
Not only the best Metroid game, but the best 16-bit game of all time.

- Difficulty:
- Just Right
- Time Spent:
- 10 to 20 Hours
- The Bottom Line:
- "Instant classic"
High Points: Smooth gameplay, excellent controls, classic Metroid feel, great boss battles, just a lot of fun.
Low Points: Nothing really. This game looks just fine to me.
Did you ever want to know what a perfect game looks like? Well, pick up Super Metroid and a Super NES and you will know what a perfect game looks like. The controls are highly responsive, the boss battles are epic, and the gameplay is very solid. The diffuculty isn't half-bad either, because unlike the first two metroid games where the diffuculty is all about cheap deaths and stiff controls, in Super Metroid, it's a fair challenge. It is very hard to find problems with this game, and I don't think there are any problems with Super Metroid at all. This is a game that noone should be disappointed with. This game has not aged one-bit. It is a timeless classic. Pick it up along with a Super Nintendo whenever you can. Super Metroid is hands-down the #1 reason to own a SNES. In my opinion, the greatest game Nintendo has ever made.
