Masochistic trial and error platformer that you will either love or hate, or both.
Personally I was never an arcade gamer or a big platformer fan in the 8 and 16 bit era so the nostalgia factor for me is non-existing. I found Meat Boy to be a very basic platformer which relies too much on its one main feature, the punishing difficulty.
Some people thrive on that sort of stuff, to die over and over again to accomplish something in their digital world. If you are like me though and detest trial and error gameplay you will propably not get all that much out of this game.
There is nothing wrong with Super Meat Boy aside from the difficulty, the controls and gameplay are smooth and it's packed with cool content and features, unfortunately none of that helps when the game simply frustrates you to the point of quitting.
