Super Mario Galaxy was Mario's first 3D adventure for the Wii.
The story starts out with the Star Festival, and Mario comes to the town to visit Peach. It's nice right?
WRONG. Bowser comes to crash the party(literally) with his....flying airships? and rips Peach's Castle out of the ground.....with a UFO? Hmm.........anyway....Mario tries to follow them, but is blasted away. SOMEHOW Mario lands on a planet and SURVIVES, and meets Rosalina *rawr* who will help Mario rescue his "special one" but there is a problem. Rosalina's spaceship is shut down and in the middle of nowhere, and to power up the spaceship, you need to find the 120 Power Stars.(just kidding, to fight the final boss, you only need about 60.) So let's start.
This game is the same fashion as Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine. Go through a level in a world and get the star. It's not that easy though, as there are many obstacles, enemies, puzzles, and the effect of space. Let's a go!
The controls are basic. Use the Wiimote and Nunchuk. To move, use the analog stick, A to jump, Start to pause. To spin(which, combined with a jump, is really a double jump), jerk the Wiimote. Spinning can break fragile objects, and open up spots.
Now, the graphics. These graphics are AWESOME! I don't know what Nintendo is doing, but they should do graphics like this all the time.
The camera was ALMOST perfect! For some worlds, the camera wouldn't work with you. It's because of the gravity. But for a good 99%, the camera worked with you.
Instead of a large field of mass, most planets are small blobs of mass with enemies and puzzles. The game will not have trails to the stage in the world your not playing.
There are also items. The Bee Suit, which makes you a bee with the ability to fly. A Boo suit, which can make you invisible and float, a Spring Suit, which lets you jump high, but not controlled good. The Fire Flower, which lets you fling fire, and the Ice Flower, which, like the Fire Flower, let's you fling ice, and let's you SKATE! The Rainbow Star makes you invincible for a while. There is one more item, the Red Star, but it is completly tacked on. It lets you fly around for a while. It is only available on the most bogus areas of the game.
Super Mario Galaxy is a masterpiece. Very addicting, and it kept me around for a while. I can't wait for Super Mario Galaxy 2, and after I finish playing it, the game will be reviewed. If you don't have this game, you need to buy it now.
Final Score-
9.5- Superb.

Mario takes his basic formula and multiplies it by the power of space. The product is pure fun from start to finish!

I realised that Bowser Corrupting had TERRIBLE Quality.Since it was so long it would take alot of space.I shrunk the video to 100 MB (So I could upload it) And it messed up the quality. I'm making these with MUCH better quality. Part 1/3Posted Jan 3, 2008
