Platforming perfected by Nintendo. Who expected different though.

If there is one thing Nintendo can do above and beyond any other company in the video game industry, it is making platformers. They took a formula that has been working since the release of Mario 64 and they perfected it with Super Mario Galaxy. The levels in this game, are laid out in a fashion that only Nintendo could pull off. The designs and art style are both gorgeous. If the Wii can do graphics like this, then why don't we see it more often? I was thoroughly impressed by what Nintendo has done with this game graphically. The sound is the typical Mario music that somehow never gets old. I probably don't even need to talk about controls because Nintendo has never messed up the formula of a Mario game. This game is no exception and in fact is in my opinion, the best controls that Nintendo has ever given a game. Collecting the gems on the levels may seem pointless if you are looking from the outside, but I promise you that it does add to the game in it's own way. Nintendo has pulled off another one and this game alone warrants the purchase of the Wii. I definately recommend that you pick this game up. This is the single best platformer I have ever played.
