Amazing game, but you probably heard that already!

User Rating: 10 | Super Mario Galaxy 2 WII
Super Mario Galaxy 2 is the closest to perfect a game has ever came, although it still might have been a tiny bit better. What SMG2 add's that SMG didn't have is everything you wished SMG had :P With three new suits/items for mario and three new suits for yoshi, theirs lots of newly designed levels you won't experience in SMG. First lets see a list of the new elements in the game.

Items/suits:

mario,
cloud suit
rock suit
drill mario

yoshi,
blimp fruit
bulb berry
dash pepper

If you played SMG, SMG2 won't be harder to control. All the controls are the same, except for co-star mode ;) Co-star mode has been redesigned to make the second player more involved. In SMG2 the second player controls an orange luma that follows mario wherever he goes. A second player can jump in whenever they want by clicking the A button, the luma will appear and your ready to play.

Co-star controls:

Point at an enemy and hold down A to hold the enemy, shake the remote while holding A to defeat the enemy.
Point and click B to shoot a star bit at what you want, shoot it at an enemy to stun it.
All moves where the second player click's on mario have been removed.
Point at items/coins and hold A to store the item/coin for mario, let go of A to give item to mario.
Move pointer over starbits to collect them.

Whether it's the graphics, which look HD, or the game-play you'll love this game. SMG was praised for good music, and SMG2 is no different. Their's lots of new tunes plus old ones, and maybe a remix or two. SMG2 is also pretty easy for any beginner who wants a taste of gravity defying mario games, including a super-guide to help. Their's lots of 2-D environments that make a new twist to old school mario games. But what if you liked the first a lot and don't want it to change much, well don't worry, most all the old items/power-ups are back, except ice flower, and everything will feel familiar. Although the game does seem to have too much 2-D levels their's still tons of 3-D areas to explore. With a total of 49 galaxies and 242 stars their's plenty to do in this sequal. One big difference is at the end of the game. While SMG had a peacefull easy galaxy, SMG2 has a long, hard galaxy to beat, the "grandmaster galaxy" which may take a while even if you thought you were the best mario gamer. Their's so many good boss fights you'll be waiting for the next one. It is a little easy for a pro, but probably the perfect difficulty for others. It has things from throwing fire at ice sculptures to riding a brick platform over quick sand, to spitting spiny shells out from yoshi's mouth at glass spheres to riding a shell in an underwater cave. The story has been changed in a way that makes it less involved, but of course bowser has to capture peach before the game can start, but this time the story is turned into the beginning level. Their's levels where you ice-over a lake, or ice over a lake of lava, whichever you prefer :P With the new cloud suit you may have fun finding short-cuts, even jumping from planet-to-planet! Out of all of this, yoshi is probably the main highlight. While yoshi's absence was a disappointment from SMG, he makes an all-star appearance in SMG2, he even gets three power-ups of his own. He also has the unique capability to eat almost anything he pleases, using his tongue like a chameleon does. Some enemies can't be swallowed, but they can be used as projectiles, spitting them out at what you please. Yoshi's tongue is controlled by the pointer, point at what you want and press A to shoot his tongue at it. Yoshi also has new controls to master. Maybe you can even try to master the "infinite flutter jump", which is a hard-to-master glitch where you can flutter as high or as far as you want. I could go on forever so I'll stop here ;)

In summary, this game is a must-have game for wii and won't fail to impress anyone.
