One of the most enjoyable gaming experiences you will find anywhere in the gaming market!
STRENGTHS:
1. Level Variety: The variety in the level designs is just as good as the first game was. You will play in different environments all of the time, facing new challenges, and new enemies as well. Most of it works really well.
2. Gameplay: For the most part the controls are very well polished and very responsive.
3. Graphics: The visuals are just as stunning as the first game, if not better.
4. Soundtrack: New songs added to the old classic Mario songs. And all of them fit in well with the action.
WEAKNESSES:
1. Camera: I'm being a little picky here. There are a FEW instances where the camera doesn't work 100%. But those occasions happen so rarely that it won't deter your experience with this game much at all really.
2. Too Easy: Once again, I may be being a little too picky on this one. But most of the levels are just too easy for my liking really. I think it's fair to say difficulty is not the strong point of this game, and I don't think the game's producers intended it to be really.
3. Possibly too much level variety: Yes you read this right. Once again, I'm sure I may be a little too picky about these flaws. Most of the level variety in the game works well and turns out to be an enjoyable part of the game. HOWEVER, some of it doesn't work well and can turn out to be frustrating. Ex: Fleet Glide Galaxy World 5 - In this galaxy you have to fly a bird through numerous checkpoints, some of which are hard to reach to get to the end of the level. However, this bird suffers from poor controls and make it really hard for you to actually control the bird. This can make what should be a simple level that much harder, but not because the level is actually hard, but because it's hard to control the bird and you may end up dying many times because of flaws in the bird's controls. However there are only a few levels which require you to fly this bird, so it won't deter from your overall game experience too much.
But listen those flaws I listed above would really just apply if you get really picky about it all. EVERY game has at least a few flaws. But this game is as close as it gets to perfection really. That is why I gave this game a 10. If this game doesn't warrant a 10 I'm not sure any game does. The sheer enjoyment of this game ought to keep you busy for a long time. In terms of pure enjoyment, I'm not sure you will find a game better than this one in the gaming market today. It's really that good. Enjoy yourself!
