The Best VGM of Super Mario Galaxy 1&2 ~ Round 1, Day 11!

Ghostly Galaxy: 7: I think it fits the ghostly theme quite well, but personal preference means I do not give it a higher rating. The instruments were well chosen. I do enjoy the climax (even though it is not very climactic) quite a bit. I certainly prefer this over Super Mario Galaxy 2's haunted theme. Haunted themes are difficult to make fun to listen to while still being fitting, but I think this one does that. Still, I just think it is not worth anything higher than a 7. I guess it just does not stand out.
Super Mario Galaxy 2 Credits: 9: I think the instruments used to play this tune are used wonderfully and it is nice to hear something with normal instruments. Still, whether happy or sad, endings always feel very saddening (not to be confused with depressing) to me, so I actually do not like this piece all that much, just because of what it means. However, for what it is, it is great. If only more pieces of Super Mario Galaxy 2 could be this fitting and enjoyable to listen to. I love how triumphant this piece sounds, how it uses lots of pieces of prevalent tunes from the game and how it meshes well with itself.
Yoshi Star Galaxy/The Flotacious Blimp Fruit: 3: It is certainly not bad, but it just feels too bland for too much time. It never goes anywhere and it only has so much of a Mario feeling to it. It does give the Yoshi environment feeling, but that is all I can say for it. I like it the most out of these three pieces, yet I also think it is the worst of the 3. *shrugs*
