insultingly easy

User Rating: 5 | Super Mario Bros. Wonder NS

Good

- really cool effects. You never know what will happen with the environment

- a lot of new obstacle and enemy designs

- a lot of new abilities

- hub world is nicely designed

- visuals in general are nice

Bad

- despite there being an abundance of abilities, I rarely had to use any, because the level designs hardly ever warranted the use of them as they were so easy to get through with normal running and jumping. The low difficulty is an insult to even kids, and their dexterity and hand-eye co-ordination.

- mario stories rarely matter, but the dialogue was so stupid. I rather them decrease the amount of dialogue.

- i never felt any semblance of threat in any of the levels. Lives were plentiful and bosses were absolute push overs. Bosses were also extremely repetitive. You fight bowser jr every time, and you do virtually the same thing, and he's easy af.

- the game lets you choose different characters, but they're literally all the same outside of aesthetics.

- the catepillar prince was an absolutely forgettable side kick. I forgot why he's even there.
