Large amout of challenge.... Larger amount of fun.
In this game you can play as Mario or Luigi. Mario can run fast and can come to quick nice stops. Luigi runs slightly slower and jumps higher than mario but slips all over the place. resulting in cheap deaths and game overs once in a while. Neither character gives you a better chance at reaching the flag pole so go with what you would like. The enimies come at you like crazy. example...your running and flying fish come out of no where while your jumping from small platform to platform when theres a hammer bro on one of the platforms. im pretty sure what i just said actually happens. The good thing is you have unlimited continues so go ahead and keep trying. that what makes this game so addicting! you just HAVE to get passed that on level. but after that your gonna keep playing.
The Graphics on NES version are...well what you'd expect from a nes game. slightly worse in my opininion then the original super mario. but on the SNES "super mario all stars" version everything is crisp and clear. the colors are beautiful, the sky at night levels shine and everything looks great! The music is great too. the music was remade into sounding sad but happy at the same time i guess. thats my take on it.
My Final verdict....you should buy it. definatly worth your 600 wii points. Ive had a lot of memories playing this game when it was on "super mario all-stars" and I still have as much fun. This Mario game is definatly no "cake walk" for the experianced or the new. the furthest i've gotten so far recently is world 4-1. So good luck everyone. You're going to need it!
