This game is a perfect port of the original classic. The graphics are spot on, as is the music. Nintendo even did a good job adjusting the screen from horizontal (a typical television) to the vertical layout of the Gameboy screen with a very clever use of scrolling. Nintendo didn't just stop with a straight port, no, they also added a boatload of special features. They added a ghost-race minigame it which you race a ghost through some classic Super Mario Brothers levels. Once you beat the ghost, it becomes faster and faster until it is almost unbeatable. It is a really addictive feature. Plus, Nintendo added special Gameboy Printer icons. then, they added a yoshi egg hunt game, a special bonus that adds even more replay value. this a great game, and a perfect way to play the timeless classic on the road.
