If they made a cartoon series based on the game, then it must be good!
Mario must again save Princess Peach from the cluthches of Bowser, who has returned since Super Mario Bros. 1. As Mario, you select levels from the world map and clear a path to the kingdom's castle. There are 8 kingdoms in all, each requiring you to break the spells over the kings, who have all turned into different animals by Bowser's koopa kids.
Along the way, Mario collects items, suits, and power-ups to aid him on this tough journey. Frog suit, Raccon suit, power leaf, Statue, Boot, Fire Flower, Hammer Bro., and Starmen are some of the suits Mario can obtain.
The varity of the items and power-ups is rather splendid. Mini games can also be played to earn extra lives or items. The oringinal is fun, but the GBA version looks cleaner.
Anyhow, be sure to play this game. If there were games to be considered mandatory to your experience, then this is one of them.
