OK, if you don't know this isn't a legit Mario game it is a clone of a game known as Doki Doki Panic, But let's be honest back in 1988 unless you are a master at game info you played this game and thought that it was another Mario game you didn't think of it being a clone at all. And that's how I view it yes I now know it is a clone but I view this as a sequel to the original. It did things to improve such as graphics and another story so it gets points for that. But it did go on what seemed forever and some areas seemned a little hard but didn't detract away from the overall fun I had with this game. It's a nice touch you could pick from 4 different characters. So that's a nice thing. Overall even though it was a sequel it lost a little of that Mario magic so that's why I gave it a 9 out of 5. This game was made before the ESRB took effect. So all I got to say is you can either view this game as a clone or a sequel but don't just judge it on that judge it on game play. Than make your decision.
