The odd ball of the mario bros series.

I cant imagine what playing this game was like back in the day. After playing the original super mario bros most people were expecting 2 to be the same goomba stomping,mushroom smo..i mean eating, turtle throwing fun but enhanced. That is NOT what the got. Instead they got this turnip picking,shy guy throwing,birdo killing installment. Now i wont lie this is a WEIRD game. Many out there hate it for being such a change from the original and for being so...random. I for one love this game. It allows you to play as not only the mario bros but also toad and princess toadstool and they are great characters as well who deserved to be in other installments to the series. The real question about brothers 2 however is how does it stand up with the other mario bros? Well it doesnt hold a candle to brothers 3 or world but it deserves a spot in the same sentence with the original. Another odd thing is this isnt REALLY super mario bros 2. Its doki doki panic,A japanese nes game but with mario characters in it. No im not lying look it up. So if you can manage to get past the fact that this isnt really brothers 2 and that its such an acid trip brothers 2 is a great game with some small flaws.
