Passable but one of my least favorite mario games

Ok.One of the reasons for that is that the game is realy different than the other mario games.If you liked the first mario bros I suggest getting the third one instead.Ok so one of the cool things about this game though is that you can pick your character.You dont realy do a whole lot of platforming though and when you do you are just like going side to side up platforms which isnt as great as it sounds.The weirdest thing I think about this game though is instead of jumpimg on enemys you throw turnips at them.Turnips?Who came up with that.It actualy is a little fun throwing a turnip at something but it takes away from what made the first one so great.A up though is that the graphics have greatly improved and each character has a up and down.
Here is a basic idea of how I rated it:
graphics:10 out of 10.Extreme improvment from the last one.Everything isnt seperated into squares(pixels)
gameplay:7 out of 10.Good for a couple hours of fun but has almost no replay value.You will play it mabey twice in the same week.
controls:8 out of 10.Not as fun as the first one but are less choppy so pretty good.
overall:7.5 out of 10
This game is worth trying buut unless you have a nes already and see it in a bargain bin for like 1 dollar I would take a pass.Ohh and by the way.This game is realy hard.Its uterly impossible to get to the end and there are no shortcuts like in the first but I have played harder games.(super trucks racing)
