The classics with 16bit graphics!!! :)

User Rating: 9.5 | Super Mario Collection SNES
Super Mario All-Stars is a compilation game including 3original NES Mario games + 1: Super Mario Brothers, Super Mario Brothers The Lost Levels, Super Mario Brothers 2, and Super Mario Brothers 3.

Super Mario Brothers: 9/10
This in my opinion was a very good update to the original NES version of the game. The graphics are way better but the game still remained the same (they didn't feel the need to add new bosses or new side stories like so many remakes now days do); even the glitch where you can get unlimited lives is still there :).

Super Mario Brothers: The Lost Levels 8/10
I have heard from many people that this was meant to be a direct sequel to the first Super Mario Brothers game but I always saw it as extra material from the first game as the story line, concept and games play are almost identical.. (of course this is typical in most Mario games anyway)

Super Mario Brothers 2: 6/10
This game in my opinion is the weakest pre N64 Mario Bros. game. The game play is awkward and the story is weak. In this game you get to pick who you play as, you can choose from Mario, Luigi, Toad or Princess Peach (Princess Toadstool). Each character has their own advantages in each level mainly in jumping; Mario and Toad jump normally but the Princess and Luigi jump really weird.. Luigi jumps high and flails his legs as he is in the air, which somehow seems defy gravity and makes him stay in the air longer. The Princess Jumps up and literally flies straight across in a line for a short distance then falls so she can jump a longer distance but not quite as high as Luigi. This game is pretty much based in a "dreamland" and it is kind of weird and hard to explain.

Super Mario Brothers 3: 10/10
This is defiantly one of the best Mario games ever made, second only to Super Mario World in my opinion. This game Changed the way that Mario was played by adopting a world map for each level as you chased an airship through the world trying to rescue the princess. This was actually pretty awesome allowing multiple ways to beat a level, mushroom houses to get prizes in and all kinds of new outfits for Mario to wear. A very fun and challenging game that is well worth time playing it. And an added plus if you are playing this in the 2 player mode you can go back to your welcome mat and play the original arcade version of Mario Brothers against each other. With updated graphics of course! :)
