Sure it's not the real Mario 2, but it's still fun to play!

It's time for the Super Mario Advance Review. For the GBA.

This game is a remake of Super Mario Bros. 2. And before you ask, this is NOT the real Super Mario Bros. 2. This is a remake of Doki Doki Panic, not Lost Levels. But enough about that.

In each level you have a choice of 4 different characters. Mario, Luigi, Toad, and even the princess! However, if you didn't know, Mario is dreaming the whole time. I see how it is. Mario's dream is that the Princess is doing his work for him. Anyway, each character has different attributes.

This game is different from Super Mario Bros. There's no Goomba stomping Koopa kicking awesomeness that the previous game had. Instead you lift turnips and throw them at Shy Guys and Chickens. This isn't a bad thing, but it's not what the Mario fans were expecting back then. I still liked the game, but it is still a little hard.

The graphics are fine. They have been updated from the NES, and it is pretty impressive.

The controls worked good as well. Use the Control Pad to move, press B to lift, A to jump. I did think that Luigi's controls were a bit loose.

There is also another game to play, the classic Mario Bros. In that game you have to get rid of the enemies by bumping them from the bottom. Then you have to kick them. You can also play with friends!

Super Mario Advance is a pretty fun game! It may not be the real Mario 2 but it's still fun to play.

This game gets an 8.5 out of 10 with the title of Great.
