This is, by far, the best game ever made.
Graphics: 10/10 This was the first Nintendo 64 game released, and it still has the best graphics that I have seen so far. The graphics are quite simple, yet so vastly large and beautiful. You instantly want to roam the whole place! The castle is beautifully made, each level is great looking, and Bowser's level are really really good!
Music/Sound: 10/10 The music is awesome! It is perfect for a Mario game. Speaking of, this is the first time we actually hear what Mario sounds like! (I don't count the TV shows and the movie) When I turned on the game for the first time, I heard Mario's voice and thought to myself "That is the perfect voice for Mario!" The sound effects are perfect also. The only thing that kinda annoyed me was that Peach's voice was a tad stale, but thankfully she didn't talk much.
Game-play: 10/10 The game-play was epic. It set the path for every single platformer game that came after this!
Story: 10/10 We all know the story. Bowser kidnaps Peach, right? Well this time, there's more. Bowser takes the stars of power from the castle, therefor trapping all the inhabitants of the castle in the castle. Then later on, Bowser kidnaps Peach. Hm. Ok, whatever. Haha. I won't give you the ending. I don't want to spoil it for you. Trust me, it was good.
Overall: 10/10. This is my personal favorite Mario game of all time. It's also one of my favorite games ever. This game was awesome. I strongly recommend you play this.And don't play the Nintendo DS version. It was nothing compared to this. With that one, they changed to much. Play the real thing. If you have to, get a Nintendo 64 just to play this. Good day to you.
