This is obviously a great renewal of the 96' masterpiece.

Okay, so this game is pretty much the same as the original N64 version of Super Mario 64. The differences are minor in the grand scheme of things, yet they add more than they take away from the whole pie.

Additions since the original:
Three more playable characters
Updated character models
A world map is on display
Numerous touch mini-games
Extra secret areas
New boss fights

And personally, the graphics are good, very good, for a DS. However, the N64 probably has sharper images, but that won't be a problem unless you are picky about the graphics. Overall, this game rocks. It's the same game, yes, but a fresh coat of Nintendo magic has been applied for the purpose of renewing that nostalgic feel while at the same time giving players a reason to re-explore the mushroom kingdom once again. So buy it, especially if you are a new DS owner. This is one classic that you won't want to miss out on. Guaranteed.
