A really nice game to play, but way way too short

User Rating: 7 | Super Mario 3D Land 3DS
Well Mario has made his debut onto the 3DS, I'm not a Mario fan but I picked it up for me and my fiancée. The game itself is quite lively and is a nice and fun game to play but kind of lacks enough content for it to be a fantastic game.

Gameplay- In Super Mario 3D Land you play Mario trying to save the Princess again.... You play a number of levels over 8 world sounds long you think? Well not really there's only about 4-5 levels on each world and they take between 1-5 minutes to complete. Each level has 3 star coins to find in each so some levels will probably be replayed over and over again trying to get all the coins. But in comparison to the old Super Mario 64 DS game the levels are a lot smaller game. The game plays like the classic side scroller but takes the game from different views which are a lot of fun and the game does feel nice to play. In Super Mario 3D land you get costumes like in the classic Mario games which help get star coins and help with combat.

The levels themselves seem to be very well made and are enjoyable to play the music's fits in well and generally is a really nice game to play though it has it limitations being a small game. The bosses are recycled but besides that the game seems to remain fresh. After completing the game which is short you can do an extra world which is sadly the same levels again but with extra star coins and jumbled up a little. There are a lot of star coins to get so you'll find yourself replaying the levels again. The other thing with this game is if you die and number of times at the same spot you'll get a invisibility Tanooki mario which kind of defeats the point.

The graphics aren't bad at all they feel fresh and are really nice on the 3DS, The 3D is okay and doesn't seem to do anything special besides there's a few optical illusion rooms. The street pass feature is useless supposedly all it does is unlock 1 level in the game.

Summary- A really fun and fresh game but far too short for the price.

+ Fun to play
+ Visually fresh

- Too Short
