A solid fighting game!

I own DBZ Bukokai 3 and Tenkaichi 1 which I both love so I owed it to myself to buy this one aswell. We are a bit spoiled when it comes to characters in the previous DBZ's and in this one there's only 17 to play with. But belive me when I tell you that this is no major set back. At least this time around the character moves seem more individual to each fighter. It's really a bit more challenging then budokai and tenkaichi but still easy enough for anybody to play. When you craete your gamercard you can collect points to upgrade your character, unlike tenkaichi where you can only buy upgrades in strenght,speed,etc.. in Super DBZ you can get new weapons and special moves. this makes it much more interesting to fight and upgrade your character.

In the main arcade mode you collect Dragon Balls which you can use to get new characters or upgrade your fighter. It doesn't havea story mode, but I don't think anybody is missing the boring cutscenes of bukokai and tenkaichi.

Graphic wise it looks more like the manga, which means it's got softer tones of color and the super sayin mode doesn't look as cool as it did in tenkaichi. On the other hand you can transorm on thes pot without having to fil your meter fully. The advantages of super sayin is of course that your moves are much stronger, especially the energy blasts! Overall I think it's a great game, and a must have for fighter fans and DBZ fans. It's no fanfest like tenkaichi but it's a really as fun and as addictive to play.
