Street Fighter X Tekken Interview: Captivate 2011

I'm actually very disappointed after watching the video interview. I was curious how a 2-D fighters was going to cross with a 3-D fighter and after see my favorite Tekken characters abridged into a 2-D formula, I'm appalled. I love Street Fighter, and I love Tekken. But this is blasphemy!

I have always wondered if there is going to be a Tekken vs. Street Fighter game coming out, although I thought it would never happen, but now it is going to happen. There will be cool fighting matches such as Zangief vs. King, Ryu vs. Jin, Chun li vs. Ling Xiayou. Can't wait for this game to come out.

This is looking pretty cool, it seems like they are making progress on it really fast, or time is just going by really fast...I can't tell anymore...lol

I really hope it makes it into this year.

Interesting. Never expected the game to come out... More fighting games for fighting fans... Too bad I'm not one of them.

Awesome this year is gonna be pretty good Im a fan of fighting games in general so I love SF Tekken MortalKombat and MvC3 hope to see this great game become better in 2012.

its a failure for me.. if it would have been otherwise.. like sf charecters with tekken game engine, then it could have been awesome.

I like what the guy said about there not being 100 hit combos and super exploitive moves. That is the biggest thing that bugs me about games like Marvel vs. Capcom and even Tekken(though Tekken is no where near as bad as Marvel vs. Capcom). This definatley has my interest. Also, random question to everyone: Has there been any word on whether namco is making Soul Calibur 5 or has that series been scrapped?

I think it's awesome that they are doing this cross-over. I just wished the game played more tekkeny and less street fighterish. Either way I got five bucks on it already.

on the other hand...Ono looks like a fun guy to work with

CAN...NOT...WAIT!!!! I'm so glad Capcom & Namco are finally doing a fighting game together. I love both Street Fighter and Tekken, so this is really a dream come true. Really hope to see this game come out at the end of the year, but I'll wait until early 2012 if that's what it takes to really polish it up and make it shine. And I really hope Capcom adds some Street Fighter Chars we haven't seen in SSF IV, like Elena from SF III, or even oddball choices like Dr. Dark or Skullomania from the SF EX games.

So basically its the street fighter engine with tekken characters in??? in other words like before its an extension of the origional game like super street fighter.....lame ass man.

Looks like the Projectiles don't do as much damage...

Tekken characters in 2D... I think this is only going to work for SF fans.

I'm excited at the prospect of two of the greatest fighting game series going head to head, but then again, who isn't?

I know it's a video, but the graphics look horrible.

Tekken is so much better than Street Fighter, I hope they cater more to Tekken's gameplay

well the trailer certainly hints at a good story.. but i wont be fooled again like i was with MvC3!

And I HATE the projectiles in Street Fighter. It's cheap, and annoying, and Tekken is better.

I think there is 2 games, but they've only announced this one so far.
