Getting my student over draft due to the 40 quid i received as a packager deal and rushing to buy tekken on my newly purchased ps1 is one of my fondest memories. Piling credit after credit into the street fighter arcade coin up in the local chippy is another, so what happen with street fighter vs tekken, or have i moved on in terms of gaming ??

Firstly i know im gonna get some hate mail from the fans, but i have top be realistic, was it me or did everyone expect a lot more from this title, where's blanka, where's jack ??? You know the most iconic in both series.

Visually its mediocre at best with some really weird backdrops, the characters are no where near as big as previous Sf titles. Characters are ported over well from the tekken world however. Its colorful and has some good mini camera angle shots when some moves are performed, but again nothing new.

With 42 characters (ps3) to choose from there is a healthy selection, a new gem system within fighting aids you in defeating you opponent adding some depth to the game, but sadly i think the hype and gaming community falsified the drama of the game.

I expected so much more from this, if your a die hard fan its a reasonable price and you may wet yourself for a couple of weeks, however i think the fighting genre needs a new spice within the digital salad!!

It just felt flat and dull to me. sorry.
