Been trying out the game today, so far using Sagat and Hugo (Sagat may change but Hugo won't). I'm mainly a pretty serious SF2 and HDR player, only played SF4 every now and then, so I'm having trouble getting a good feel for the game. Regardless, I'm having fun with the game. I here a lot of people complaining about all the shotos, what teams is everyone here using?
I have a few match videos and my main Hugo combo I'm using right now on my youtube channel, if anyone wants to check them out (and if they have any tips, besides work on my 'Gat combos, I've neglected him because I'm all about the Hugo right now, LOL).

They come in a huge variety of shapes and colors, are generally much less of a pain in the ass to keep than cats/dogs, and unlike Hugo, the majority of them aren't ugly.
Except the chameleon. That thing would give Hugo the creeps.

possum, not sure you're still reading this after all the excellent responses, however, here's what I saw in a few of the videos.
When called in after launcher, lk lariat, or after air to air counter hit I use s.lk, mp clap, mk backbreaker for max no gauge damage.
Also, work with the charge mechanic of the lariat if you go with damage resistant gem set. I do some blocking until gem kicks in for 30%damage reduction activates then I can pretty much lariat though anything to get in and hit the lariat, s.lk, mp clap, mk breaker combo.
If this hits twice most characters are very close to dead.
After throw perform down, down, mk. at the right distance on their wake-up. perfect set-up for moonsault press if it wiffs or hits.
Still working with him, if I think of anything else I'll hit you up.

That is your opinion. I for one find most reptiles ugly. Cool, but ugly, like Hugo. He is a fun character to play because I generally don't get to be a gargantuan mentally disabled man throwing people around in real life.

Ya, I've been doing cr.LK, cr.LK, Backbreaker after a lariet, etc. I'm starting to work in claps after the cr.LK and before the Backbreaker. Good idea about the Gem + damage reduction combo to use with Lariat to plow through things, I've mainly been using speed gems so far, I think I might try that as well.
Funny how two Honda players both went with Hugo in this game, LOL.

Hugo combo for ya.
Roughly 517 damage with no meter used
Jump in splash>crouching mp xx lp clap>crouching mp xx lp lariat> crouching lp xx lp clap> mk backbreaker.
Also, a nice little tag in combo.

Because they're better at fighting games than you, and therefore care more about character abilities than they do trivial things like appearance and personality interpretation.
