Games like that were fun when thats all there were, but I just cant bring myself to play an 8 bit platformer....nostalgia or not...just doesnt do it for me.
This game was totally made in game Maker. When an error occurs, it shows the game maker error window, if you open it in resource hacker, it has the same resources found in all game maker games.
Yeah they're just testing it out. Peeps want a new Mega Man game, but Capcom wants to make money. They want to see if there's still enough gamers interested in the Blue Bomber. Plus, doing it in 8-bit they won't lose a lot of money if it doesn't sell.
Maybe if this sells well, the Mega Man fans might get a full fledged Mega Man release. Unfortunately, I don't think there's enough support for Mega Man anymore, but we shall see.

Seriously, Capcom? Is this the BEST you can come up with now? Cross-overs that don't make ANY sense at all? Mega Man Vs. Street Fighter? Come on! Revive MMX or something realistic but this?!? This is ridiculous. ~_~

FREE!! not to mention most megaman fans are also capcom fans as well and to them, this is a dream come true. megaman has been in many fighting game crossovers with street fighter characters but now the tables are turned and its street fighters that are now in a megaman game, that's awesome and you sound like a brat.
1 Like What doesn't make any sense at all is that you don't like crossovers that don't make any sense at all. This is a crossover that fans have yearned for for a millennium. Next Crossover should be: Street Fighter X Mario.
People aren't doing enough with the platformer genre. We see new fps and action games all the time and the fighting game genre has matured and become quite advanced, but platformers are still primarily seen as kids games with not a lot of hardcore developers willing to make a platformer, and not many hardcore gamers willing to play one. Many indie developers are making platform games, and hopefully one day they will be seen as a genre on the same level as fps, action and fighting games.

1 Like People this game is not about having the latest in graphics or anything of that sort. This game is about reliving the retro days of the late 80's and early 90's when games were hard, rewarding and Mega Man was at his best. .
@erix43 You are young and ignorant. You do not have to be a hipster to enjoy a retro style game. Also these games "Battlefield 3, Fall Out 3" are new but do not have the best replay ability or gameplay value. Learn to troll and grow up.

1 Like Yeah, getting damaged when touching an enemy is an old cliche from the early years of video games. Why don't they just animate the enemy punching you or something, so you at least know why your character is taking damage from touching an enemy? It's especially annoying in games like Kirby where you often want to get close to attack. But, the old Mega Man games used this cliche and so does this because it's in the style of the old Mega Man games.

@folklorico Well this is not entirely a Capcom made game, its a fan made version. So yeah its programming does have limitation, but we will see what Capcom decided to do with it, its still not entirely their game, you know.
