Is the arcade edition identical to this version except for new characters and gameplay tweeks?

@sloevepade That is incorrect. When I started playing, I had never played a fighting-game before, but when I started understanding the mechanics, suddenly everything made sense. It's just like Guitar Hero. In the start, you will suck completely, but after some practice, everything just feels right.

Mortal Kombat will be better. Although this game is Great.....MK vs. Street Fighter will be EPIC.

This Game is SUCH a fan service! It is so hard that it is frustratingly unentertaining. Some of us just don't got the time nor the will to learn some impossible combos just to play the game on normal. It is a good polished fighting game but it's just not fun to pick up and play because you just can't do that. And seriously it is too basic for a modern figher. Same old 1992 crap and it still passes for a modern fighting game.

the game is amazing; graphics, background. its fun to play even replay. But it takes skill to progress through arcade even on easy. Complex mechanics makes it very tricky to pull off even easiest 'super move'. Of course everyone has different ways. Any ideas on how to improve gaming skills?

Is it just me or is Akuma over-powered?

this game gets hated way to much, just cause some of u guys cant beat it on easy or beating arcade mode on hard doesnt mean its hard...u definently need more skill. My brother is only 9 and he beats it on medium the least!!!!

It's a fun game but the difficulty is just ridiculous. I mean even having a remote chance of beating the arcade-mode on medium, takes weeks/months of practice. Furthermore some of the combos and tricks are just near impossible to carry out unless you've got ninja-like reflexes and rubber thumbs. Maybe I'm just bad at the game but it's toooooooooooo friggin' frustrating even trying to learn these tricks and combos; the challenge/training-mode, where you progress every time you've landed a certain amount tricks/combos, is so hard it's retarded. Try this on for size; ? Jumping Hard Kick, Standing Medium Punch, Chain into Standing Hard Punch, Cancel into Shoryuken, Focus Attack Dash Cancel, juggle with Shinryuken (Ultra Dragon Punch). All of the single parts of this combo require super-opposable thumbs. Chaining them together??? Forget about it...

why people can't understand that with the street fighter games they always make 3 versions or more of every chapter (since the street fighter 2), so DON'T COMPLAIN

i also dont believe a remake of a classic is a reason to give a game a 9.0 geeze the way that gamespot is dishing out 9+ ratings these days is ridiculous.

SF4 is incredible. Like they say: "A minute to learn, a lifetime to master." It's soooo much fun.

I already bought SF4, im not gunna spend 60 bux to buy a new cd with 10 new characters, they should have made this a dlc. Hopefully the next installment will be much more like SF third strike

Street Figher Series is the best out of all fighter games! I love this game. The last ST game I played was Street Fighter 2 Alpha, I played it for 5 years of my childhood!!! Love this game!

This game was awesome. Some of the few flaws in this game are easily overlooked by the good things. Some people just tend to,...dwell on the bad parts of the game which keeps them from enjoying it. If I had to rate this game, I'd give it a 9.6/10.

I am going to get myself this one. Awesome remake of one of the best fighters of all time.
