It's Streetfighter 2 with better graphics but worse gameplay.
Nothing has changed with this series in 15+ years. It's the same gameplay as before with (better, but still bad) 2D graphics.
The game is HARD. Playing single player on 'normal' finds me pitted up against AI opponents chaining special moves and combos and beating me down within moments. Eventually I'm sure I could learn the right moves and be able to counter but the controls are TERRIBLE in this game and you can be mashing combos and special move commands and miss them regularly.
For you to have any fun with this game, you're going to need to play it and practise it A LOT. For me, however, I shouldn't have to make a job out of learning the game to make it enjoyable.
This is the first and only PS3 game I've ever returned/traded in and I kept for 3 short days. It was terrible.
