Such a shame

It's sad to think that this is likely the end of the SB franchise.  I honestly never played the games as I didn't have an xbox when they were out (and I wouldn't have been able to get the controller), but the games were ambitious, unique, lavishly detailed and complex.  I've always thought they were at least a little legendary, if not just due to the atypical approach taken by the devs.  Perhaps a remnant of the MechWarrior franchise, as well as other robat war games, the mention of this series always made me a little nostalgic.  I remember seeing the box for both SB and SBLOC at game stores years ago.  I dunno, it's just sad to see such an ambitious and intriguing series that was seemingly living on borrowed time through development will likely now be put to rest for good.  It's also that such ambitious Kinect controls didn't work out.  From what I saw of the review, it didn't even look like they were trying to be all that gimmicky, as opposed to what I've come to expect from Kinect and Move.  -sigh-  Oh well :(

Whoops.  Can't type today.  Should be "robot wars" instead of "robat wars" and this correction: "It's also sad that such ambitious Kinect controls didn't work out."

dude, i agree with you 100%. its a super bummer they did not see this game for what it could be, awesome. its hard to find a good game in this flavor, this would have been welcome, but god, it sounds horrible... i have not played it, so, perhaps THEY are wrong. needless, the og joint, with the insane controller, that was one of my best gaming moments ever... too bad they could not keep it up, or more people would drop that dough for something that cool that only works with one game.

Did you ever play it? If you have the Kinect calibrated as well as you possibly can and the LEARN the movements to make the Kinect controls work, It is a great game

More than half the time its player fault rather the game, Set up a camera watching you from the front and watch yourself flail around trying to do shit, if you can just take a sec to breathe and think before acting then you can play this game with nigh perfection, O, and remember if ever tell the god damn Devs clicking a Button to communicate with the loader about Ammo types is sorta retarded, when I could easily speak to him asking to load HE or AP ask the Radio man to pull up the Radar looking thingy and the Auto loader to Start the God Damn engine, does anyone agree with this??? anyone at all???
