Surprisingly, this game is actually quite fun to pay, but doesn't last very long.

User Rating: 7.8 | Starsky & Hutch XBOX
Starsky and Hutch is obviously a game not intended for gamers but for fans of the show.

The graphics in Starsky and Hutch are below average but not terrible. Some of the explosions actually look pretty nice and the game overall runs smoothly.

Driving in Starsky and Hutch is simple enough, as is shooting. The controls are a bit too sensitive sometimes, especially in two-player for player two, the shooter.

The music in this game, however, is absolutely awesome. It's a mix of 70's Jazz and Funk which is really great. The best part of the game is unlocking the music box and listening to the songs as they repeat infinitely. The sounds effects, however, aren't as great. You only hear the gun firing somtimes, which is really lame, and the repetitive phrases Starsky and Hutch scream out once and a while get a bit annoying.

The gameplay is simple. You have to complete a single objective each race, and instead of a time limit, players have to keep the viewer ratings from hitting zero. This can be done by simply completing the objective, but better scores can be achieved by shooting power-ups in mid air, shooting garbage cans and street lights, and making big air jumps. But don't hurt the civilians, or your viewer rating will go down rapidly. Objectives consist of basic tasks, inluding, protect this person, chase down this person and destory them, or get to the checkpoints before time runs out (these one's get tricky, with time on top of viewer ratings.)

Starsky and Hutch is no revolution in racing games, its actually several steps down from modern day racers, but it's still fun to play and the music is amazing.
