We headed down to the Oxford Street Game to witness the chaos, the costumes, and the queues at the Starcraft II midnight launch.

Vernholio, i picked up the occasional game at midnight launch at my local Game store( gears of war 2...) but I wouldn't queue up in Oxford Street for it. Like you, I'd reserve it if I want it that much, but I'd rather enjoy the evening than queue up for hours just to get it signed. Unless there's some serious freebie going (like when Sony gave away free 42inch tvs at Ps3 launch, everyone not there got pissed off, lol). Btw I really want to get this, is there anything outthere to test your pc to run it ? I can read the spec by myself, b4 you say anything...

She. Is. Fine. Thumbs up if she'd get it.

As a Londoner i could smell that group from the Thames River. Odours where somewhere between cheesy B.O, pent-up male frustration (well there were a few dribbles post launch), and the fear that only pretty girls emit when surrounded by that much ungroomed facial hair. Yes I'm sure it is nice to get a signed collectors edition but have fun trying to sell that thing for beer money in a couple of years...battle.net...cough.....cough...

Wow never seen so many nerds on one place at once!! :D hope they all enjoy the game. N that suit was amazing. @vernholio its something they are into so similar to waiting to meet a filmstar or beyonce or something. Thats their equivalent. Everyone has something they are nerdy about.

Gonna get yelled at here, I'm sure, but I so don't get the whole "wait in line (for hours and hours) 'til midnight" thing... Just like all of you guys, I've been impatiently waiting 12 years for the sequel... But, I just reserved my copy online LAST week, and simply walked in to my local GameStop yesterday after work with two buddies who had done pretty much the same thing. We picked up our copies and we were on our way -- No lines, no waiting (other than the 10 minute drive home afterward), no reek of B.O. from the un-showered dude in front of you, no worrying about losing your spot to the doofus in back of you, 'cause you've got to leave to take a leak, no sleep deprivation... etc., etc. Honestly, what's the allure to this? (Oh, and BTW... I got the same coupon/code you guys did for the "great deals" for the midnight launch... yesterday at 4:15 PM -- as per usual, it was all bunk). Anyway, flame away, I figure, but please somebody explain to me why you do this. And if not, then I guess it's just another (albeit, whacked) case of..."to each their own", right?

@exinitor -- Press outlets only got the game on Monday, and couldn't install the game until the battle.net servers went live last night. In other words, reviewers couldn't play the game until everyone else could! We'll have a review after we've finished the campaign and played healthy amounts of every other mode. (Note that there are no critic reviews of StarCraft II yet, as I write this: http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/pc/starcraft2.)

@FMD129 lol. No offence, but that sounds like something Peter Griffin would say (from Family guy in case you not heard of him).

Multiplayer...no way man, always the Single Player is my one & only path.In my vision the multiplayer is 100% expendable, i don't care about multiplayer in any game that i play. Probably only about 2 player mode in fighting games & beat 'em ups
