@---Cipher--- There's a reason they call it "e" sports, it is because it provides a whole new definition, not exactly, but close to that of the word "sports". Sports, refering to that of physical exertion on a competetive level (most always between individuals), taking this definition into consideration, we could debate all night and day over gaming having anything to do with the word, but chances are, we'd end up where we started, and things would still remain unresolved. However, implying that gaming, "does not contribute to society" is very near sited and unrealistic. The most obvious, medical, military, education. Do some research. Gaming is one of the largest contributors in this day and age, get use to it, and if you love it, contribute to it. With that said, I'll end with a question, how does a major league baseball player contribute anymore to society than a major league gamer?

Hey guys, this might not be the right place to ask this questions oh well. What I want to know is if having a payed Gamespot account is worth it? just want to know why anyone would pay.

@---Cipher--- You see the thing about sports...they are a hobby.Thing about martial arts...they are a hobby. Thing about gaming...its a hobby. They have just all become official competition and entertainment thats all. Get with the times mate.

@Tylendal Came here to say that. Glad someone beat me to it.

I'm glad your good at a game, but when you enter "major league" gaming it's time to put the mouse down, walk away, and actually contribute to society.... Poker is not a sport, golf is BARELY a sport, and video games are less sporty than poker. Gonna get some mad thumbs down for this comment. What's next? Major league television viewing? ESPN channel surfing competition? Major league crappy YouTube video making competitions?

@FkThisName Idk man...MLB is pretty boring compared to watching this. At least SCII doesn't require steroids to be good at it.

FkThisName 21 pts

Trying a little too hard, making it similar to MLB in a pathetic effort to legitimize it as a real sport.

This is gamespot's answer to the SFxTekken Cross Assault?

Just drop the "slasher" and you instantly become 200% more legit.

I don't think Slasher will find success with Gamespot, and as much as I applaud the initiative to bring the more hardcore esports scene to a larger audience, Gamespot viewers are much too casual to understand this stuff (as the comments below me indicate). They need someone like Day9, or Incontrol, someone who actually PLAYS the game and has the charisma to get a casual audience excited about esports.
