Even for non-RTS gaming fans, an amazing game and worthy of the hype.

First, let me start off by saying that I'm not usually a RTS gaming fan. I liked the Warcraft and C&C games as much as the next guy but I was never THAT absorbed into them. SC2 has changed me.

The single player campaign is nothing short of mind blowing. The RPG elements that Blizzard has brought into the game are addictive. You'll want the next upgrade and curse the fact you can't afford it. The achievements you earn will have you replaying maps over and over until your strategy finally wins the day.

The combat is visceral and as real as any RTS game I can remember. When a character shoots a gun, there's no suspension of disbelief. Every unit has their own voice acting and unique combat sounds and I looked forward to meeting new ones. The story-line characters are all VERY well voiced and really immersed me into their overall plights. I WANTED to help them. Or, in the case of a select few, hurt them. Badly.

The multiplayer is, as you may already suspect, perfect. Flawless. The balance is spot on and any whining you hear is just that - whining. I've only done a dozen or so matches but they have all been fun and every match I learn something new to add to my strategy toolbox.

If I have any complaints its that there aren't more solo campaigns. I finished the solo campaign (not including all the achievements) in about 3-4 days - which is a good amount, don't get me wrong. But the game is so good and so fun that I just wanted more. Call me greedy.
