His whole character design was a bit of a mess. Based on what he does for the story he should have been a badass, but he comes off as more of a sniveling sidekick.

He was useful as a proxy pack leader character for the Primal Zerg packs. Just he really wasn't useful enough to have as a permanent Leviathan character... Maybe if he only appeared on the Leviathan for a couple of missions, like what they did with Lassara?
Because yeah, while I can understand Blizzard wanting to have a primary character for the Primal Zerg packs, they really could have just had him be a random character that appears once or twice during the Zerus missions, then once on that one single Korhal mission.

You're not ok with the beard but ok with the useless t-rex arm? He's suppose to be a pinnacle of evolution (he is a pack leader after all, and a "collector" of essence), and still has something so useless.
Then you get to play him and he's just like a big dumb ogre.
