My main concern is... How can it really be star wars without space combat / starships? This was a major failing with Sony's Star Wars Galaxies and I am concerned that the lack of space combat and other space activities (minings, trading, exploration) will make this game feel much less like Star Wars.

I agree Anatommesteren on the armor, that's kinda how you stand out a bit different. Also wonder on the lightsabers as well.

My question is; what about gear? Will they have any choice of armor, weapons, gadgets etc.? Because I can't really see a difference between one lightsaber and another. Should I?
The thing is, if they choose to skip the gear-side of an MMO you would also skip one of the few ways to reward players and to let us show of progression. As materialistic as it may sound, gear differences is to me one of the ways to define a MMO. So again, I really do hope that they implement the choice and not to mention the "feeling" of having gear progression.

He didn't say there would only be jedi/sith classes. That is just how the interviewer started. The characters from the preview vid make the gunner characters standout so there is likely to be more.

Sempter basic, if you look at World of warcraft. Every class and character [even both factions, e.g in Outland & Northrend] take the same story quests, same endings in dungeons etc. This is going to be a lot more deep story where you have consequences. If you have 2 Trooper classes, you would have the same story, but when you have 3 decisions to choose from - with morality points and paths - it will become a different story depending what you do.

wait wait wait.. so class story is like single player? categorizing them seems pretty risky

@september_basic you are being a troll, and you are just here to piss people off. That's how I view your posts... I've read everything you've said in other forums as well, but this one is by far the most blatant disrespectful post aimed at Bioware I have seen from you yet. Everything you stated before was complete rubbish as it's all based on your own misconceptions of what the game "MAY" be.. but calling Bioware cowards? I mean, come on... You're being ridiculous now.. cowards for not entering in 5 different story lines with 20 different endings for EACH class, bringing us to a total of what.. 40 story-lines and 160 multiple endings... do you REALLY think they have the time and/or resources to do exactly what YOU want them to do?!

Personally I think what they are doing, REGARDLESS of whether there is "only" one story per class, is very, very impressive. If they pull it off, this could be an incredibly fantastic game that will take hours of my time away. But you know, go on ahead and continue to spew your verbal diarrhea about how Bioware are "cowards" and how this game will suck... I will be glad you won't be one of the thousands playing on my server come launch day.

Note: no matter what character class you take, you'll have the same story as someone else of that character class. No matter what.

Listen: he is describing the character classes by the fact that each one has only a single story. There could be many but Bioware are being cowards.

from what ive seen in the movie demos and keeping a close eye on the games and also having experience in the past bioware games im not worried as to how this game will be in terms of how good or great it will be. And i had my class all chosen, i was solid on jedi knight but now that i realize jedi councilor is more like obi-wan im going that direction since obi-wan is my favorite character in star wars ever.
