This week we check out Star Wars: The Old Republic - Rise of the Hutt Cartel, Injustice: Gods Among Us, Pandora's Tower, Call of Duty: Black Ops II - Uprising, Dishonored: The Knife of Dunwall and more.
I took one look at that KB when ToR first came out and did some price matching. You could buy a Razer Anansi KB (which is almost identical but doesn't have the screen or mushy keys, but is also better quality) and buy a Razer Naga mouse (a fantastic piece of hardware for any MMO player), and you would STILL be saving 50 dollars compared to the KB in this review.
Oh look anther half-baked product from razer. It only took me one product from them and their terrible warranty service to never go back... no way. A keyboard with no depressions on each key .... mac did that and its incredibly annoying not to have a slight depression in the center. Pass.
Seems like EA is selling out Old Republic HARD CORE. Anyone see the $6,000 Darth Malgus replica? They actually have a payment plan of $750 a month on that bad boy that you can order online. If it's as cheaply made as this, I wouldn't be surprised.
@doc-brown Yep, I was. So wanted that Optimus keyboard. Didn't read the text review, just the video and was referring to 'most expensive keyboard on market'. No distinction there, but understand what your saying. Optimus was what, 2k? Definitely not a consumer item.
@valdarez If you're referring to the Art Lebedev boards (Optimus Keyboard) I covered those in my text review that's going up in a few hours. Thing is, you can't just waltz into Best Buy or GameStop and buy one, unlike this Razer board. It's more of a specialty item than a "consumer product"; to me, anyway :)
My days of buying high-end keyboards are long gone anyway. At the rate I wear them out, it doesn't make much sense to buy something so expensive when it'll get thrown away in 6 months to a year. The $40 keyboards work fine.
I really liked the idea of this keyboard with the little screen and all, but definitely looks to be quite disappointing. I like this guy though, he does some great tech videos.
