@nrdys they are real people not cloned guys so thats why they are called troopers and not clones hope i dont sound rude in this comment...
i love how in all of their gameplay videos... the player keeps hitting people (usually kicking) off the platform they're standing on... i hope that isn't just for show and you can actually do that. and i also hope i can still loot their corpse on the platform even though they've fallen into a bottomless pit
@benfitz123 also it's an mmorpg it would be different if it where an action game, plus lightsabers can't cut through vibro-swords
@benfitz123 I hear you i would love to have game like that, and i dont' see why they don't do it but i guess they'd need a different game engine like the one being used for metal gear solid rising
I hate how tame all star wars games are. Lightsabers should be slicing through everything not just making light flashes then have the enemy fall over. LAAAAME.
this looks great, big fan of star wars games and bioware game so this will be great. when is it released?
I'm really starting to hate star wars now. oh wow they managed to cram in a sarlac pit, that was in return of the jedi right, that's so amazing, like there aren't a million things they've already crammed into the new generation of star wars paraphernalia from the original movies. And since when did the sith start using electric lightsabers. They've taken a cool symbol of just how utterly evil the emperor was and turned it into a cheap special effect used to make a standard weapon look slightly more intimidating.
I tried to read the comments to get some further info/opinions but i couldn't see past all the *&^%s waving and fail calling. I hope one of you has a blog where you post things like "Check out this AWESOME thread where i PWNED this d-bag in the comments. Its so super cool, i rule. He's totally a troll, I'm so cool, someone please say they think im cool....please...."
@GamerJedi29 That depends if there actually working on better moves or doing other stuff for the past 2 months.
@Rationalist the moves will look alot better closer to the release date. this video is a month or 2 old anyway so it already looks better
i don't really care about graphics and all but the moves really don't look good. i hope it turns out okay tho.
@luzarius I dont think people would really be expecting a very dark star wars game, so what do you mean by "not dark enough"? :?
I wonder how much the guy that advertises all publicities makes a month.. i mean, it's always his same voice!... in all game advertisements... you know, that guy that says the name of the game, when will it be available and the rating... hmm...
@Gruug Though he never directly said there would be zero space exploration. He made a good point why it would be a rail shooter and why you don't really NEED space exploration. good video =D
Well exploration fans, and those not interested in the truth, it is correct that the previous videos I posted had nothing about the lack of exploration. My mistake. Yesterday being Christmas I was a little rushed and had little time to do a complete search and review. So, after that latest attempt by some other poster to troll the subject, today I chose to find the EXACT video I had mentioned. Turns out it was not at Comic-con 2010 but at PAX. In the vid posted below, check out the question at about the 4 min mark and pay particular attention to the DEV COMMENT at around the 4:50 mark and beyond. (For more on this, check out the SWTOR community site): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyShopOcV0M
Dont waste your time waiting, Guild wars 2 on the way! Everything else is just an effort to reach it!::P
@Gruug I watched all the videos you sent me AND MORE. Maybe someone else can back me up.. Did those videos mention anything about space/ground exploration? no -_-
SniperFire17 You obviously did not view them. So this is obviously an attempt by YOU to troll....good bye.
@Gruug None of those videos said anything about space exploration... third fail... One mentioned something of spaceship customization.. But it ended there.. I watched all of them. Please tell me you're trolling.
@SniperFire17 You want it from the "horse's mouth" so to speak? Look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6AhlOnsa0Qs&feature=player_embedded# and/or here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETh0q4QeGtY&feature=related and/or here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FIutSAzeyjM&feature=related I believe the "quote" regarding exploration is found there. Now, if you are too lazy to do that much...just move along. And btw, there is NO space exploration AT ALL in SWTOR at this point and per the dev paneal listed above there are NO PLANS to include it.
It use to be nice when one could check out the video and comment on the video. Now thats a thing of the past.
@muggyfox1 No he definitely failed for trying to give us a piece of wrong information and didn't provide a link to his false claim. I only answered two people sir. and Aero_gambit got his post deleted because it consisted of " sniperfire! STFU!" Soooo, whos trolling?
@SniperFire17 fyi about 3 things #1 yes there is space combat and space/ground exploration #2 just cuz someone doesnt give you a link doesnt mean they fail #3 by the looks of it you answered about 5 people so that would make you a troll and the point of this comment nice vid
@Gruug I still see no link. And so you fail. I read somewhere that there IS space exploration. But I see no reason to go and look for a link since you failed to find me one. And obviously there is ground exploration.. Lets not fully judge till we have played it/seen a review. @aero_gambit And who might you be?... no one.. move along.
The target age group seems to be 12-16 ... The tone isn't dark enough ... This doesn't look like the Bioware I know. Must be a completely different team. Looks pretty carebear if you ask me.
@SniperFire17 all you have to do is check the website and do a quick scan of the dev posts. OR, just look at some of the recent posting here on Gamespot about the time Bioware announced the "space combat". There is a vid of one of those devs saying EXACTLY that. Can't help that you want it to be otherwise.
@capyvaraepg The game still looks 3x better than WoW. Nothing you say is going to make fellow Star Wars/MMO fans not buy this game.. The animations seem good to me. If you had read anything about the game you would see that It's gameplay and new features never before added in a mmo game are going to set a new bar for MMO's.
