Against the Emperor, when he does his purple lightning shield and picks up 4 things to throw at you, you can hide behind the computer (or whatever they are, you know what I mean, there's two of them and they're the only things in the room that isn't an enemy or a potential projectile) and none of them will hit you. Just run into it, because if you're too far back they'll hit you as they ricochet off of it.

don't know if this has been posted yet, i don't quite have time to read through the whole topic but here's a tip on Maul...
When he leaps into the air for his sabre toss, he's vulnerable to force push. Not sure about grip, haven't fought him enough to experiment yet but it seems he's completely vulnerable while in the air.
Disclaimer: this was on the medium difficulty, so I'm not sure if it'll work on harder modes.

Bull Rancor
Ok, since this is on the 10th page most likely not alot of people will see this. An easy way to defeat him is to stay at a far range. He will slam his fists on the ground, initiating his charge attack. All you have to do is simply double jump around him just before he reaches you and X-X-X-X combo him from behind then quickly run away to a far distance in order to avoid being hit and repeat. This takes a while on Sith Master but it works very nicely. Brood will try to attack you, just double jump dash her. She may hit you once or twice but thats not a big deal, pretty easy. If this is done right, the Bull Rancor will not hit you once. I beat him first try on Sith Master. Hope this helps you guys!

All of the guides written worked well for me on Sith Master, except for Maris Brood (sp?)
One thing i found helpful in this fight was the use of grip. I ran to a corner of the room and waited for her to become invisible. Look around and wait for the screen to zoom in on you. Pay attention to when the little force "lock on" corners appear in the air (around Maris). Immediately press RT (grip) and you should get her. Throw her against the back wall and follow her falling body. When she hits the floor, run up to her body and either stab it twice or try one combo (XXYY worked best for me). This granted me an easy win without being hit at all.

The best strat I found for Shaak Ti is Force Repulse
It really sends her flying and she almost always hits a mine, then chase her down and combo with your favorite combo while she's on the ground. This works on the hardest difficulty btw

Bull Rancor
Medium Difficulty
I found that when fighting the Bull Rancor, it's easy to just lock onto it, then double jump and dash to the back of it when it charges at you, then pull the block button and charge up your Saber Throw.
You can get in 2-3 hits if you're fast.
Just repeat this, and it'll go down.

So far the only boss that I have had trouble with is Kazdan. I mean all the rest of them I pretty much steam rolled through, with the exception of Shaak Ti I think I beat the rest of them on my first try. Kazdan just kept whooping me so bad that I was just about ready to say enough is enough but I stuck in there and just persevered...barely.
Since I haven't seen this strategy yet for Maris I thought I would mention it. When she goes invisible wait for 3 secs or so and then use force repulse. It will send her flying and she will "uncloack" and then you can combo or stab her and once she gets up just block and she will go invisible again. Rinse and repeat and you are good to go. I think I got hit once when I got greedy with a combo.
Thanks to everyone for their strategies as I don't think I ever would have beaten Kazdan without seeing what others have done. Oh and trying to throw him is near impossible for me at least.

For Shaak Ti I ran all the way to the left corner just standing there. When she comes at you with her mobs just force push or use lightning on her then force push. The fight was over in no time and the giant arms can't hit you either. Worked like a charm after dying 20 times trying to "fight" her the normal way.

Okay, there are 17 pages in this topic, so you'll have to forgive me for not reading every page to see if someone posted this already.
Against the Bull Rancor, make sure that you have the Lighting Grenade skill. Try to grip the Rancor, and immediately afterward, hit Y to use the skill. It uses very little Force Power with the Ruusan crystal equipped, and does a good chunk of damage to the beast, as well as stunning him for several seconds.. You can beat him with only having to let your Force meter recharge once. The biggest problem with this tactic though is that Maris can throw you off your rhythm every once in a while, so just use Force Push on her to make her go away.

Yeah, on Shakk Ti all I did was Force Repulse and she would fall into the pit and get massive damage. I barely got hit. I got hit once by the arms b/c I wasn't paying attention, and when the arms hit me I fell into a mine. Other than that, she was E A S Y!

Just completed the Emperor on Sith Lord. And the guards hurt me more than he did. Seriously.
My strategy:
1-Unless countering an attack... hold guard. Don't close with him. This stops his random bursts of lightning, and you wont get wasted if he raises his shield.
2-Charged lightning

rop guard when he charges, or you'll block it with your force power. You don't want that. Instead, wait til he releases it, then guard. And wiggle the left stick a bit to perform a lightning counter. Drop guard, and repeat. This hurts him a LOT even on Sith Lord.
3-Random object toss:If you see him gesturing around, drop your guard, and start jumping around to evade the thrown object.
4-Object swarm+Lightning Shield

rop guard, run up, jump, repulse. Objects go flying, and he can't throw them at you. Sometimes he'll act like he is, though.
5-Grunts+Lightning Shield:You should be able to handle these guys by now.
That's it. His entire attack pattern defeated by guarding, jumping, and repulse. (And some saber action on the grunts, but...) You should at most take a nick or two from the red guards and a little lightning damage, but not much. His attack pattern is almost as easy to deal with as Shaak Ti. (doesn't get simpler than repulse spam)

I was having no luck with Palpatine on Sith Lord until I changed my strategy and got and stayed right in his face. You're going to get hit with lightning anyway, so I stayed close to him so I could immediately pound him when he dropped his guard. Lots of damage to him. Of course you take damage too but you damage him, the guards come, take them out and get more health. It worked well for me. You may take too much damage on "Master" to get away with this though.

hey I was just about to go into the final boss battle on sith master. who should I pick to fight and who is easier? I wanna say palps is but i am not sure.
also I am on the first vader fight and I am stuck on the very last part of it where he jumps and fights you one on one again, any tips for that part?
Oct 10, 2008 10:36 am GMT
Actually while fighting palpatine the easiest way to get through his move where he puts up the lightning shield and throws objects at you is to jump up next to the objects and use a force repulse, this knocks away the objects and he cant through them at you, it works wonders even on Sith Master. This will also occasionally knock off his lightning shield giving you a couple free hits on him while he recovers.

Im surprised at how easy the Emporer was once you figured him out. More than enough people have given tips on how best to handle when he starts throwing things at you. However what noone has mentioned is how best to counter his lighting attack. Sure you could try to counter his lighting with your own and initiate a lightning lock minigame, OR you could just block it altogether. Thats right, you can block his lighting attack. Not only that but you will automatically force push him back leaving him vulnerable for a few seconds. Just long enough for XYY then dash away.
I noticed Maris does alot of jumping attacks, when shes in midair, she is completely vulnerable to Force Repulse. Once you repulse her back hit her with a charged up saber throw. If you have at least lvl 2 Battle Mediation you should be able to hit her twice before she recovers.
One thing I should mention is this is not tested on Sith Master so I dont know just how effective this is.

Here's another trick I discovered for beating Broken Vader on Sith Lord:
I simply blocked with my saber the entire time, stopping only to break the occasional Vader Force Grip. I block until Vader begins charging up his Force Push, then I run around behind him and slash away. It doesn't take very long, and you can get some damn good hits in on him. Once I figured this out, I couldn't believe how easy the fight was.
