Star Wars the Clone Wars takes place during and right after Star Wars Episode II Attack of the Clones. The game starts off when Mace Windu and Luminara landing on Geonosis to rescue Obi-wan, Anakin and Padme from Count Dooku and the Separatist. Further into the game Count Dooku has plans in reactivating a 4,000 year old weapon of mass destruction called the Dark Reaper in an attempt to gain victory in the Clone Wars.
The game has some good graphics and the CG is great. The framerate for the PS2 version can be quite slow and choppy sometimes. Despite this flaw, the gameplay is very enjoyable. You get to play 3 Jedi, Obi-wan Kenobi, Mace Windu and Anakin Skywalker. You set to go out on different planets such as Geonosis, Rhen Var, Raxus, Prime, Kashyyk and other planets. You get to use a variety of battle vehicles from the SW world such as AAT's, small fighter tanks, LAAT ships, STAP speeders and many more. Furthermore, in some missions you get to use your lightsaber and hack away at droids, they could've used a button like L1 to block the laser bolts and have the Jedi jump and do a variety of lightsaber combos.
You get to use more vehicles in Multiplayer mode. Although, in the PS2 and Gamecube versions, both consoles don't have an online multiplayer mode, which is a slight disappointment. The story mission is very interesting to play.
For anyone of you who are huge Star Wars fans, purchase Star Wars the Clone Wars.
