When the Gamespot review said this game could be laggy, they weren't kidding. Sometimes the other players in Mechassault would lag a little, but when this game lags the whole game turns into a slideshow, not just the players jumping around. It's almost impossible to get an eight player game going that doesn't have tons of unplayable, horrible lag. Sometimes if everyone has a really good connection a six player game will work well, but forget about eight. I haven't seen a host yet, no matter what the game recommended, that could handle eight players smoothly. This is rediculous, Mechassualt handles eight players all the time? Even a two player game can be bad. Well I've complained about the lag and the frame rate problems, but really the game itself is not all that fun. If they come out with some kind of update to fix the bad framerates and terrible lag, the game would be passable. But it's certainly not the Mechassualt alternative I was hoping for.
