Filled with ducks, dives, and Gungans!

User Rating: 6.5 | Star Wars: Super Bombad Racing PS2
While Super Bombad Racing is no match for LucasArts other racing themed games such as Epsiode 1 Racer or Racer Revenge, SBR nonetheless can fill you with guilty pleasure of Kart Racing. Being able to choose from a variety of characters, nine in all I think (Obi-Wan, Jar Jar Binks, Boss Nass, Aniken Skywalker, Queen Amidala, Darth Maul, Yoda, Sebulba, and one secret unlockable character, as well as a tenth cheat code character), each with their own special attacks, and also having the chance to race on a large number of tracks, SBR can be pure fun, for kids, and adults. While some early levels can be short, uninpired, and rather dull, other are highly fun, challenging, and well layed out (The final map on the Droid Control Ship is a fine example of one of the good tracks.). Along with basic racing, their is also several other extra game modes other than Circuits. You can participate in a single race, a Time Trial mode, and a deathmatch mode with several apecial arenas riddled with traps and powerups. There are also several Multiplayer modes. Each track and menu also has a looney rendition of a John Williams musical score. While fun, and sometimes addicting, the game can ld after a while of continuous play, and you'll probally beat the game in a small matter of hours no doubt.

MULTIPLAYER: While SBR has no online capabilities, there is a splitscreen capability which can support up to four players, who can participate in any challenge from SIngle Player, as well as a Team Based circuit run.

MODDING: Due to the game being on a console (PS2), the game as far as I know, is not editable.

FINAL WORD: While fun for a while, the graphics will hurt your eyes after continuous play, and odds are you'll beat it rather soon. Also lets not forget the musical score, which if turned up on high, will drive you insane. However nonetheless, I bet anyone could enjoy this game, especially at a four player party!
