My favorite Star Wars game.

User Rating: 9.7 | Star Wars Rogue Squadron III: Rebel Strike GC
THIS GAME ROCKS. I remember back in the N64 days I had the original. It was excellent, but it was nothing compared to this masterpiece. If you don’t know what this game is about, Rouge Squadron is a Star Wars series based on vehicles, which appeals to me a lot because whenever I play Halo, I always go for the vehicles. Anyway, this game is based on several missions where you must fly a ship that could be anything from a speeder bike to a tie fighter to a walker to the Slave 1 (Boba Fett’s ship) and complete objectives. A new thing to the series is the ability to exit your ship and take care of things with your blaster. There are many interesting missions based on the films, with some movie clips put in as an added bonus. The gameplay, as I said, is a solid air combat simulation (controls are great too). Difficulty wise, this game starts off easy and gets harder as you progress, especially when you want to get medals to unlock new stuff. There are some Jedi missions, but I don’t really like them because they are mostly annoying jumping puzzles. The graphics are beautiful, the stages are very well done, the ships are fantastic, and even when you’re shooting at a tiny little tie fighter, you can see all the details on it. The sound is what you would expect from a Star Wars game: orchestra music probably done by John Williams, and great, realistic sound effects. Another new thing added to the series in this version is 2-player co-op and versus multiplayer. The co-op is exactly like single player mode, except with missions from the entire Rouge Squadron 2, and the versus features dog fights, rampages where you must create as much destruction as you can, tag and defend where you must capture and hold bases to score, and speeder bike races. There are also lots of special features to unlock, like the original Star Wars arcade game, art galleries, Audio commentary, a documentary, and many more. This is a must have for all Star Wars fans and GC owners. It is undeniably worth the $10 it’s going for on the internet and in used game stores. I recommend that you do not pass this up. This game will not disappoint.
P.S. Feedback on this would be much appreciated.
