My son has physical challenges that prevent him from getting past the Ebon Hawk dogfight after leaving the first planet. Is there a way to edit the swkotor.ini file to make the sith fighters move at 10% speed, or to bypass the first person shooter parts of the game altogether? Is there a way to pause these sequences? He's also trying the pause button and it doesn't work in this sequence.
He really loves this game, and I'd hate to have him miss out on the rest of the chapters.
Thanks msDad01

I'm afraid the swkotor.ini does not have anything to do with the behavior of the Sith fighters, it just covers global configurations, like the audio, graphics and keymapping. A quick search of KotOR mods did not reveal anything that might alter or skip the turret sequences either. Question: is your son able to use both the mouse and keyboard for that sequence? Using the A and D keys rotates the turret faster than just using the mouse alone.

I'm sorry to hear that, maybe increase mouse sensitivity so you can rotate faster?

There is 2 mods that will help your kid, one that will completely skip all turret sequences, while the other will make it easy. You'll have to extract using either Winzip or Winrar, and put the files into the Override folder, which is located in your game folder. The Override folder default path is:
C:\ProgramFiles\LucasArts\SWKotOR\Override
For Steam, the default path is:
C:\ProgramFiles\(x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\SWKotOR\Override
If the Override folder doesn't existe just create it, create a new folder and name it:

Yea, Getting those fighters down took a while for me too, there is a monitor where it tells where fighters and coming from and tell him to aim for the fighters that shoot at you (meaning the ones closet to you) thats what i did and it was easier.

here is a turret battle tip:
at the first moment, let loose the juice. Fire all you can and you might get 2 or 3 dead right then. Concentrate on one fighter and rotate the turret using A and D keys. When the ship charges, shoot it. Rinse and repeat. If that is all troubling you, try changing mouse sensitivity.

The funniest thing about this sig is that by the time you realize it doesn't say anything it's too late to stop reading it.

I actually took all the ships out right as the mini-game started one time by spamming the fire button... all I remember as far as aiming goes is dropping the crosshair slightly down and left at some point, but I don't remember the timing.
