A worthy follow-up to the original Startfighter and still just as fun.

There's not much to say about this one; it's pretty straight forward, simple fun.

What's good:
Jedi Powers - You get to use them in this game. Although Jedi powers in video games were around for a while before this release, you see them used with a twist. Powers include force lighting (which can emcompass and attack multiple ships at the same time), the ability to slow down time, create a force field, and some power explosion thing which I never found helpful.

Multi-player - You get it in this one! Play the story or bonus missions co-op.

Unlockables - There's unlockable bonus single player missions, unlockable ships to play in the story missions, and additional bonus pictures and videos to unlock.

Game-play - Like I said: It's fun! Like the original Starfighter, if you're looking for an arcade-style space shooter that has you flying cool ships and blowing up lots of stuff, then this will fit the bill for you. Don't look for too much more depth than that though.

What could have been better:
Nothing was really done wrong with this game, it's just a victim of it's own limitations. The missions all boil down to the same thing - Protect or Destroy. Again, it's fun, but it's just not easy to mix things up with this style of game-play. It was a good game, but nothing about it made it an amazing game.

Final Word:
If you get it on a rental, you can probably get through story mode in one weekend, but the bonus missions and ships help extend the re-playability.
A good time in the Star Wars Universe, even if you're not a Star Wars fan.
