SOE realesed the NGE onto a thriving MMORPG. Why? Because they felt that the game wasn't 'Star Warsy" enough. They also felt like they weren't attracting enough new players because the game was 'too hard'

Well, the NGE changed all that. It alienated most of the current players in order to make room for new players.

Players that spent years developing their characters lost it all in one major upgrade.

we could all go on and on about what SOE did to SWG with the NGE....but suffice it to say that the game is no longer what it was.

If you enjoy playing a game with 9 different types of characters (aka Cookie cutouts) and want to instantly become a lightsaber wielding Jedi in a few hours....then by all means play SWG.
