You won't find better Star Wars games on the PS2!

Star Wars Battlefront 2 is the best Star Wars game on the PS2. All of the Episode 3 battles make an appearance. Battlefront 2 is a big improvement over the first Battlefront with playable Jedi, a better Galactic Conquest mode, a story mode, space battles and new units. The story mode is called Rise of the Empire. In Rise of the Empire, you play as a member of a Republic battalion called the 501st. The stroy follows the 501st as they fight through the Clone wars and up to The Galactic Civil war. The Galactic Conquest mode is a huge improvement over the first one. In the first one, they give you 5 or 6 planets to try and conquer and it was usually short. Now in the new one, they give you the whole galaxy to conquer with over a dozen planets. Also there are more bonuses to purchase such as automatic turrets that you can place at command posts and better armor for your troops. Now, the best new feature in Battlefront 2 are the space battles. The space battles usually are capital ship on capital ship with each of them launching fighters to fight and disable capital ships. There are a variety of fighters you can fly including the X-wing, A-wing, TIE fighter and TIE Interceptor. The capital ships including the Star Destroyer each have specific systems you can target to help disable the ship. These systems include engines, life support and command bridge. If you dont want to fight in space you can send in a landing party to the enemies hanger. With the landing party you can take out some internal systems. The playable jedi is a feature we all been wanting to see ever since we saw the AI play as them in the first Battlefront. Well it is now possible to play as a jedi in Battlefront 2. Jedi not only wield just sabers but also force powers including force push, lighting and force choke. There are other heroes that dont wield light sabers but you can play as them including Han Solo, Leia and Boba Fett. Now for the bad things. There are some glitches. First, in a space battle, you can sometimes see fighters crash into the capital ships without an attempt to pull up. They will fly straight into it. Another problem is that if your playing as the Rebels, you see them kill someone, then they run up to the dead body and they start shooting the dead body. Even if they are being shot at and taking hits, they still shoot the dead body. Another bad thing is that during the land battles there are no playable fighter craft. I like giving air support to the troops but that is not possible. Fighters were playable in some land battles in the first Battlefront but in Battlefront 2 they are reserved for space battles. The story mode is only about 5 hours long but the action does make up for it. As for the online battles. No new remarkable changes from the first Battlefront. But the same problems that plagued the first one is still here in Battlefront 2. There are some skips and sound skips and sometimes it freezes. Overall, its a great game that can satisfy any Star Wars fan and shooter fans alike. A lot of non-stop action. This is worth every penny.
