Battlefront 2 on release deserves like a 3/10 because of the disgusting lootbox progression system and microtransactions... Now though? Long after release when everything is tied to playtime and there's no P2W elements or lootbox based progression? The game is enjoyable.
The campaign is pure spectacle, nothing more. The visuals and sound design are spectacular but the story and characters are shallow and invoke no emotion, even when the game wanted you to feel it. The multiplayer is not deep, but it's dumb fun shooting stuff in the Star Wars universe.
I'm glad I didn't pick it up on release for full price during all the drama, instead, I got it for $10 and to me, it's worth every cent of that. I'm glad they came to their senses after messing up SO badly, and fixed the game. I know for 90% of people, they still crossed the line and they will never play it again or support them, but I have enjoyed my time with the game.
