After the recent failures, this actually seems to have lot of potential. Hope this would be as awesome as old Star Wars games.
Fear (of this being another disappointment) leads to anger (I'm so angry at all the current sub par SW games), anger leads to hate (I hate Star Wars Kinect and what it did to the franchise I love), hate leads to suffering (I don't want to suffer another mediocre game).
Hopefully this game might redeem my faith in the Star Wars game franchise.
It saddens me to see a game like this get in the list of best of E3. Just goes to prove pretty graphics and production values seem to matter more than great gameplay these days, because in all the gameplay I've seen of this game I have seen NOTHING that even remotely gives me the impression the gameplay will be anything more than your standard third person shooter.
3 Like @burgeg They don't matter more--but they do matter. The production values may be what drove the demo, but games that use forward-looking technology can be as important as those that drive gameplay innovations. They are "video" games after all, and we need developers to explore the technological capabilities; it is an important facet of games, and Star Wars: 1313 is the first game we've seen that will require next-gen hardware to run.

I hope this game isn't just graphics, but awesome gameplay too. Maybe interesting gun upgrades and maybe other cool stuffs could be the icing on the cake. I have high hopes for this one!
1 Like Boba Fett was my favorite Star Wars character after I started reading the books because he was just a normal guy with norma problems. At first I was torqued I couldn't force choke bastards, but after thinking about I'm fine with it. Actually excited. Then I saw the game play.... Even though it was short, the physics, lighting, and shooting look awesome. Cant wait.

2 Like @Ryking I agree, With this title, it seems like you will get to feel what the life of an ordinary person in the Star Wars universe is like- dealing with the scum of the universe without the help of your force powers. I'd say it sounds damn right scary

I hope this game delivers a good promising title. I love the Star Wars games but the last one, Force Unleashed II was a bit of a let down. I will be following this one closely.
Oh here we go another Star Wars game... does anyone even remember the most recent rubbish ? Force Unleashed and Force Unleashed II ?? C'mon ! Oooooohhhhh Star Wars 1313 ? Oh please ! This is like order "Order 66" These guys went out and had a boozy lunch and came up with this scary name - I'm quaking in my boots.
1 Like @xGarrettThiefX Maybe the writing was awful and the games were too short, specially TFUII, but they brought a lot of cool new technology to the forefront. I thought what stood out the most in those titles were the physics. With this title, I see lighting as the one thing that will stand out which makes me think it will be a next-gen title. They seem to be serious about this title with them reaching out to ILM and Skywalker Sound. Only thing I'd say we don't know yet is how great the story will be but with them shooting for a M rating, I'd say they're going in the right direction. A darker Star Wars story we haven't seen yet.
This will topple the disappointing Force Unleashed II to the ground.. I'm really excited about this game.
Just give George Lucas a shiny red ball to play with and keep him the #*&% away from this thing
1 Like This Star Wars is played with a Jedi? I still think that it should be a FPS. FPS games need new sceneries and themes currently.
@SigmaAlphaM Yes. As in they WERE NOT popular OVER 10 YEARS AGO. What I replied to was in reference to the comment of the previous poster.
shooters werent/arent popular? then what is? i may be wrong but the only games to come even close to what COD, Halo, and Battlefield have been selling are assassins creed and Grand Theft Auto. at least on consoles. maybe WoW is up there on PC.

What? So it does exist on 1314, but not on 1313? Come on, stop making things up as you go. The Force certainly does exist in ALL the levels of Coruscant. The Force is simply not going to be a major driving element of this story as far as we know. Very simple.

Anyway, I do hope that Jedis finally appear in the form of hard as hell final bosses. Jedis need to be cool again.
Hate on jedi all you want, without them star wars isn't unique and just another space opera, this game is fail, the only thing good about the game was the graphics and if they aren't possible on today's consoles that's another fail, people were under the impression that they were. So this is a next gen game?? Now I'm depressed and not just disappointed. So much for the huge leap in visuals I was hoping for, this is on par with uncharted this gen, and it's supposed to be future tech? embarrassing
1 Like @Nightrain50 Did you forget to read the article? It's all in the details. Uncharted is fantastic on the graphics level, but this is simply better. This looks like a movie you know. Uncharted, almost, but not quite.
@Justforvisit ....which was inspired by the genre of space travel/warfare/saga... which was inspired by Star Wars.
