This Game had the potential to be great, but sadly it wasn't

OK, where to begin. I saw this game at a local store and thought; "Wow, that looks great, its loosely based on situations from the movies and shows" boy i was way off from what it actually was. The gameplay is ok, took a little while to get used to but i got it with ease. Story line wise, it had some interesting conmcepts, but lacked in detail and direction. William Shatner is the voice of the game, and i mean THE voice...no one else contributed to this game. The story is set up by era and series; Enterprise being first, TOS, TNG, DS9 and Voyager in those orders. Things like collecting officer cards and things like that was awesome but you didnt get much from collecting all of them and they didnt have all the main characters from the series, just 5 of them from each show. They also throw in a few missions called star trek Sovereign where you are a sovereign class ship, but unclear if it is the Enterprise E or not. Very odd

The multiplayer area is surprisingly cool as you get to pick any ship (that you have to unlock during the regular campaigns) from the game to go up against many different areas of play. Theres a all battlefest mode where you can select a group of ships, starting with the weakest or smallest ship in the classes of races(For example, if you pick federation group 1 you start out with enterprise, move up to enterprise A and then you have enterprise D.) There is also a mode where you pick one ship and go up against a whole fleet of ships in each round. 10-15 ships each come at you and the object is to get them all in a certain time limit. It all boils down to this folks....it could have been better and should have been better.
