How bad is the voice overs compared to star ocean 3?

i'd have to say pretty bad. the pauses and emoting issues are very noticeable. quite a few characters come off as awkward as well (miracle, lymle, sarah) or changes pitch too much edge (its as bad as judith from tov or jay from tol). no one is as bad as nels one friend (though miracle certainly comes close) but its certainly a step down in both writing and voice work from so3.

it's still playable (so doesn't have that much voice work anyway) so its no where near as bad as say arc rise fantasia. plus you can always not use characters that annoy you. Kay wasn't nearly as obnoxious but it is overused to the point where you wish lymle took a vow of silence. i'd say the most annoying thing would be end of battle quotes not having much if any variations.

no star ocean 3's voice overs are better ignoring nels friend who sounds like she uses helium tanks to breath.
